Despite all the regulations absolutely uncomplicated, super nice and fast! The burgers were really good and the prices absolutely okay. Will be repeated 👍🏼

We celebrated our wedding in the Hämmerla on October 3rd, 2020 with 80 guests. That was no easy undertaking in the Corona year 2020. The wedding was originally planned for June 6, 2020, but then had to be postponed due to the corona. Our experiences with the Hämmerla and his team: - During all the preparation time, we were very well looked after by the Hämmerla team. We were there several times and planned and discussed the process. Our wishes and ideas were always taken into account. When we had to postpone the celebration from June to October (with all the planning uncertainties), the team was very flexible and accommodating in the implementation of the new planning. Organizationally, we always felt that we were in good hands. - The wedding could be held in the garden under the tree, which is really a very nice setting. When our guests welcomed us in the courtyard, it rained, but in view of the previous corona chaos, we didn't care. We had organized umbrellas for everyone and the Hämmerla team set up large pavilions in the courtyard, under which all guests had enough space. - In times of Corona, the hygiene concept in the Hämmerla was always adhered to. There were disinfection stations for the guests, the waitresses always wore face masks and blowers constantly preheated fresh air was blown into the barn. Everything worked without any problems. - The service during the entire wedding was also completely to our satisfaction. Descriptions from previous reviews such as "bad service", "bad-tempered and unfriendly staff", "you couldn't have felt more unwanted" cannot be confirmed in any way. We and our guests felt very comfortable and the service was absolutely fine. Also that "every time your filled glass is cleared away" when you leave the room did not happen. - Another plus point for our guests was that they could sleep in their cars and campers on the large parking lot and use the toilets in the inn at night. - The only downer is that it was a bit cold in the barn in the beginning (October) because the large double doors were open too often. The Hämmerla team was very happy to accept this criticism, so it will probably no longer be a problem in the future. All in all, we were very satisfied with our wedding at the Hämmerla and with his team. The Hämmerla is therefore highly recommended as a wedding location. Dani & Jule PS: During our numerous preliminary discussions for the wedding, we often ate and drank in the beer garden during the normal opening times. The location is nice and rustic and the beer garden is very cozy. We also always found the food great and cannot share the negative reviews in this regard.

Beautiful beer garden, Essen does indeed have some room for improvement, but it's not as "bad" as some say it is. It works with hunger. Better food and from my point of view it would be 5 stars straight away.

Wow! A really great beer garden. We found him by chance and were incredibly enthusiastic. The location alone is fantastic, it is in the middle of nature, right next to a stream and pond. The children didn't have a playground, but the stream was adventure enough. The food was very tasty 😋, especially the tarte flambée and the vegetarian burger. We will be back.

We ate here last weekend and are all completely satisfied. Everyone tasted it great. About the location you can only say that it looks simply fantastic here and the service leaves nothing to be desired! We will be back definitely.

we were there this weekend and have to say, apart from the beautiful location, there wasn't much that was good. There is no waitress and you have to queue up like in a canteen, i.e. you cannot linger in the seat but have to get up for every drink, etc. Every few minutes one of the alarms will beep that the meal is ready. Since some guests were there, this went on all the time during the meal as they are quite loud. We found the food not good with 4 different dishes. The schnitzel and cordon bleu worked like frozen food, as did the potato salad, which didn't taste like homemade but rather finished goods. The brioche bun from the burger was also not fresh but older because it was completely dry which does not happen with a brioche when it is roasted. For the food + long waiting times and small portions the price was not justified. As I said, the location is very nice, but unfortunately that's about it. It would be much more doable and a lot could be made of it. I think the idea is good but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

Last sun with 13 people there. Pizza Special for EUR 8.80 from the "supermarket", garnished with cold canned mushrooms .... Hamburger ... you have to like sauce, we didn't like it at all ... Bratwursts tasted like they came from the factory ... so not like a beer garden ... Great location, ok for a beer, but more ??? We will - all - not again

Two stars, but only for the beautiful and idyllic location. You could make a lot more of it here. Unfortunately the food doesn't fit at all. There is almost only very mediocre frozen food, which is too expensive given the quality. In addition, the waiting times are sometimes very long, sometimes very short, so that in a group everyone gets their meal at a different time. If you were to concentrate on significantly fewer, but better, classic beer garden dishes, that would be a considerable gain.

Idyllic beer garden where everyone can find their place. Parking lot directly at the house. Great selection of drinks - the home-brewed beer 🍺 and many typical beer garden dishes, cold and warm, are particularly recommended. Burgers, pizza, tarte flambée, snacks, etc. In general, everything is self-service and the prices are neither cheap nor expensive, but you can treat yourself to the ambience. We'll be back anyway. 😉

Idyllically located on the road between Georgensgmünd and Untersteinbach. The beer garden as well as the interior and the barn are very nicely prepared. The landlords are very nice and it is a lot of fun to take a break there and to strengthen yourself.

The beer garden is nice. The food for the price too little! Or too expensive for the portion, you can turn or turn it as you like. The food was pretty good. The corona regulations were implemented well.

We were looking for a cozy beer garden and then we chose it and it was just great ... Will definitely be back. Great value for money

Beautiful atmosphere in a lovingly designed garden with lots of small details for comfort. Great service with good food. A trip to Hämmerla is definitely worth it!
